Heard Sri Devendra Kumar, holding brief of Sri Shailendra Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Nand Lal Maurya, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State-respondents and Sri Bhupendra Kumar Tripathi, learned counsel appearing for the respondent-Gram Sabha. The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent No. 2, the Additional District Magistrate (Land Revenue), Tehsil Sadar, District Jaunpur to decide the computerized Case No. D201914360004181 of 2013 (Ramraj vs. Gram Sabha), under Section 28 of the U.P. Land Revenue Act, 1901, expeditiously and within a stipulated time period. Counsel for the petitioner has pointed out that upon an application filed by the respondent no.9 the earlier order dated 15.06.2022 was recalled and the case was restored to its original number by an order dated 30.08.2025 and the matter is pending. The delay in disposal of the case is stated to be causing hardship to the petitioner. Accordingly, a prayer is made for a direction to the respondent No. 2, the Additional District Magistrate (Land Revenue), Tehsil Sadar, District Jaunpur, to conclude the proceedings at an early date. Having regard to the aforesaid, the present petition is disposed of with an observation that the respondent No. 2 would make an endeavor to conclude the proceedings of the case, which is stated to be pending before it, preferably within a period of three months, without granting any Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Shailendra Yadav Counsel for Respondent(s) : Bhupendra Kumar Tripathi, C.S.C.
