By way of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for following reliefs:- RAGHVENDRA JAT Digitally signed by RAGHVENDRA JAT 2 “10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, thereby directing the respondent authorities to take decision on the claim of petitioner for grant of seniority from the date of his initial appointment on the post of Teacher, in accordance with law. 10.2 That, any other relief/order which may deem fit and just in the facts and circumstances of the case including award of the costs of the petition may be given.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present matter pertains to the issue of granting seniority in the official gradation list. He further contends that the petitioner has already submitted a representation before the concerned respondent authorities, which, as of now, remains pending. It is highlighted that the District Education Officer, Jashpur, had duly forwarded the said representation on 4th January 2021, yet the same has not been addressed or decided upon by the concerned authorities to date. In light of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner prays that this Hon'ble Court may issue appropriate directions to the concerned respondent authorities to expeditiously consider and dispose of the petitioner’s representation. The petitioner also seeks that such consideration be made in light of the specific 3 recommendations put forth by the District Education Officer, Jashpur, and that a time-bound framework be established within which the decision may be rendered. 3. On the other hand, learned State counsel do not opposes the said submission. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and further considering the fact that the matter relates to grant of seniority in the gradation list and further considering that the concerned DEO has already recommended the matter for grant of seniority to the petitioner and the petitioner has also filed representation for redressal of his grievance the concerned respondent authorities are directed to consider and decide the said representation of the petitioner within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of the said order. It is made clear that this Court has not considered the merits of the case. 6. With the aforesaid direction/observation, the writ petition stands disposed off.
