The present appeal is directed against the judgment and award dated 26.11.2014 passed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal/3rd Additional District Judge, Rudrapur, Udham Singh Nagar in M.A.C.P. No. 1158 of 2013, whereby compensation to the tune of ₹7,73,000 /- along with 7.5% interest was awarded in favour of the appellants/claimants. 4. The present appeal is filed by the appellants/claimants for enhancement of the awarded amount. 5. The case is taken up today before the National Lok Adalat. 6. Before the Lok Adalat, the parties have amicably settled the dispute. Accordingly, respondent no.3/Insurance Company has agreed to settle the matter by paying an enhanced amount of ₹4,00,000/- (Rupees four Lakhs only) without any interest, over and above the amount already paid. The respondent no.1/Insurance Company shall pay the said amount within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 7. In view of the compromise arrived at between the parties before the Lok Adalat, the present appeal is disposed of accordingly. 8. The compromise deed/sheet shall form part of the record.
