This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed for granting the privilege of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner, namely, Rafiqul Islam, apprehending arrest in connection with Mangaldai P.S. Case No. 130/2025 registered u/s 196(1)(b)/299 BNS, R/W Section 13(1) of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021. 3. The gist of the allegation is that beef meat was sold without proper documentation at Madina hotel. 4. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the manager of the hotel has already been arrested and in the meantime, released on bail. It is further submitted that the present petitioner is not the owner of the hotel and his father is the owner. 5. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has produced the case diary which has been perused including the statement of the co-accused, Abu Taleb. 6. Investigation reveals some incriminating materials lending support to the allegation. As already submitted that the co-accused has already been enlarged on bail. The incriminating food substance has been seized and the FSL report is awaited. However, there is some progress in the investigation. 7. Accordingly, it is provided that in the event of arrest, the petitioner, named above, shall be released on pre-arrest bail, in connection with the above noted case on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting authority, subject, of course, to the following conditions: (i) He shall co-operate with the investigation. Page No.# 3/3 (ii) Appear before the Investigating Officer for recording his statement. (iii) He shall not hamper or tamper. 8. Return the case diary. 9.
