According to him, he is entitled to benefit of rehabilitation policy and he has made an application for allotment of shop, however, the said application is pending consideration before the Director, Rehabilitation. 4. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs: - “(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, com manding/ directing the respondent to decide & conclude the proceedings of case, bearing U.R. No. 2852/ 15 as per list page no.18 in serial no.20, with regard to allotment of shop/ land in lieu of land acquired for Tehri Dam Project as expeditiously as possible, or within the time granted by this Hon'ble Court, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the present circumstances of case. (ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding/ directing the respondent authority to provide the benefit of rehabilitation schem e to the petitioner.” 5. Having regard to the fact that the application made by the petitioner in the year 2015 is still pending consideration, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Director, Rehabilitation to take decision on the application, as per law, within six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
