The present Application has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for quashing the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.466 of 2022, “State Vs. Anil Singh Bisht and Others”, pending before the court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ramnagar, District Nainital under Sections 498A, 504 and Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, Section 3 and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 1 2025:UHC:11360 2 . Heard Mr. Tajhar Qayyum, learned counsel for the applicants-accused, Mr. Akshay Latwal, learned Assistant Government Advocate for the respondent no.1 and Mr. Himanshu Agarwal, learned counsel for the respondent no.2-informant. 3 . All the applicants are present through video conferencing. They are identified by Mr. Tajhar Qayyum, Advocate. The respondent no.2 is present in- person. She is identified by Mr. Himanshu Agarwal, Advocate. 4 . Applicant no.1 is the husband of the respondent no.2 and the respondent nos.2 to 4 are family members of the applicant no.1. 5 . Both, the applicants and the respondent no.2 submitted that they have settled their matrimonial disputes and after resolving their disputes, they have filed a Compounding Application (IA No.01 of 2025) and affidavits with their free will and without any pressure. 6 . The respondent no.2 has requested to quash the entire proceedings of the said Criminal Case No.466 of 2022. 7 . The request of the respondent no.2 has not been opposed by the respondent no.1. 2 2025:UHC:11360 8 . Considering the totality of the matter, this Court is of the view that ends of justice would be met if the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.466 of 2022, “State Vs. Anil Singh Bisht and Others”, pending before the court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ramnagar, District Nainital, are quashed. 9 . Resultantly, the present Application, filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, is allowed and the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.466 of 2022, “State Vs.
