ORDER 28.05.2025 Learned counsel for the respondent submits that in compliance to order dated 15.09.2022 passed by a Coordinate Bench, the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, vide order dated 28.04.2025, has ordered that the affairs of Shri Nav Durga Jhaleri Mata Shrine shall be looked after by the Shiv Khori Shrine Board till an appropriate legislation is enacted in the U. T. of Jammu and Kashmir on such matters: “In this context, I am directed to submit that this office vide communication dated 14.05.2024 has already proposed to entrust the management of shrine namely, Shri Nav Durga Jhaleri Mata to the existing Shrine Board. As such, this office agrees with the decision taken during the meeting held on 06.02.2025, where under it is decided that the affairs of Nav Durga Jhaleri Mata Shrine shall be look-after by the Shiv Khori Shrine Board till legislation is not enacted in J&K on such matters. This is also in accordance with the directions of the Hon’ble High Court of J&K, issued under PIL No. 24 of 2018. Yours faithfully, DY.
