This is an application filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking bail in respect of the accused/petitioner namely Sri Umesh Chandra Das, in connection with Crime Branch Police Station case No. 01/2025 (Corresponding GR case No. 2151/25) under Section 316 (2) / 318(2)/ 319 (2)/ 336 (3)/ 351(2)/ 61(2) of the BNS, 2023. 3. The allegations against the petitioner is that he used to contact prospective seekers and introduced them to the main accused of the case namely Sankar Jyoti Das and upon promise of providing job a huge amount of money was collected from the job seekers. 4. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner has appeared before the I.O. and his statement has been recorded and there is no further necessity of custodial interrogation. 5. On the other hand, the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor on reference to the case diary has submitted that there is sufficient incriminating material against the accused person revealing his role in collection of money on the promise of providing jobs, and for thorough investigation into the matter, the necessity of custodial interrogation cannot be ruled out. 6. Having regard to the above, I am of the view that this is not a fit case for pre-arrest bail. 7. Accordingly, the prayer is rejected. 8. The Anticipatory Bail stands dismissed accordingly.
