The petitioner is aggrieved by non- consideration of the application for re-issuance of a passport. Learned counsel for Regional Passport Officer says that there is an F.I.R. lodged against the petitioner, but he is not aware as to whether charge sheet has been filed against him or not. These are facts to be verified by the Regional Passport Officer through the local police, which should be done and decision should be taken on the application of the petitioner at the earliest.
