PUBLIC PROSECUTOR (AP) The Court made the following: 3 THE HONOURABLE DR JUSTICE VENKATA JYOTHIRMAI PRATAPA CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 3437/2020 ORDER: The instant Criminal Petition under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., has been filed by the Petitioners/Accused Nos.16 & 17, seeking quashment of the proceedings pending against them in Crime No.293 of 2018 on the file of Narasaraopet Rural Police Station, Guntur District registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 120-B of IPC, Sections 3 and 4 of AP Gaming Act and Section 20(B)(ii)(C) r/w 8(C) of NDPS Act. 2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Ms. K. Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor would submit that the matter has become infructuous, since the charge sheet has already been filed in this matter. 3. Sri Srinivasa Rao Narra, learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that recording the same, the petition may be disposed of giving liberty to challenge the same. 4. Recording the above said submissions, the Criminal Petition is dismissed since the relief has become infructuous. However, the petitioners are at liberty to file a fresh petition challenging the charge sheet, if so advised.
