This Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is filed for the following relief:
“to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the impugned action of the respondents in not sanctioning annual increments due to the petitioner after reinstatement since 01-06-2006 till date, though petitioner has been Continuously discharging his duties without interruption and further action in extending such benefits to similarly situated candidates denying petitioner as highly illegal, arbitrary and violative of Article 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India, apart from contrary to the law laid down in Division Bench
Judgment of this Hon’ble Court in W.P.No.15165/2014, dated 07-07-2014 and consequently direct the respondents to release
Annual Grade Increments due to the petitioner since 01.06.2016 till date along with interest at 18% per annum and pass...”
2. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, Sri D.Viswakanth,
learned counsel representing Sri G.V.Shivaji, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in view of the subsequent events taken place in the lis, the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive for further adjudication and the Writ Petition has become infructuous.
3. Sri Tallapragada Sriram, learned counsel representing Sri V.V.Satish, learned Standing Counsel for A.P.E.P.D.C.L., is present.
4. Recording the submissions made by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no orders as to costs.
