(Oral) By way of instant Contempt Petition, prayer has been made on behalf of the petitioner for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for their having willfully and intentionally disobeyed the directions contained in the order/judgment dated 28.11.2024, rendered in CWP No.13261 of 2024, whereby this Court, while disposing the writ petition filed by the petitioner, directed the respondents to pay commuted value of pension, DCRG and Leave Encashment to the petitioner with actual rate of interest as per applicable rules, till the time of actual payment and in case due amount of payment is not paid within six months, petitioner shall be entitled to 9% per annum till the date of its actual payment. 2 2. Before notices, if any, could be issued to the respondents Mr. Raman Jamalta, Advocate, while putting in appearance on behalf of the respondents, has placed on record communication dated 17.06.2025, issued under the signatures of Financial Advisor & C.A.O. Himchal Road Transport Corporation, Shimla, thereby conveying sanction for commutation of pension of the petitioner to the Branch Manager, HP State Co-operative Bank Ltd. Kotli, District Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. 3. As per aforesaid communication, which is taken on record, sum of Rs. 11,77,279/- has been ordered to be credited in the bank account of the petitioner and thereafter, commuted portion of pension of Rs. 11,720/- has been restored after 180 months w.e.f. 01.05.2024. 4. In view of the above, nothing remains to be adjudicated in the instant proceedings and accordingly, the same are closed with a direction to the respondents to ensure that payment, in terms of afore communication, if not already released, is released expeditiously, preferably within two weeks, failing which, they would aggravate the contempt and petitioner would be at liberty to get the present petition revived so that appropriate action in accordance with law is taken 3 against the erring officials.
