Syed Murtaza Ahamad, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA appearing for respondent Nos. 1, 2 & 3 and Mr. L. Rajesh, learned counsel appearing for respondent No. 4. [2] In view of the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioners and as agreed to by both the counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition can be disposed of at the motion stage itself. [3] At the outset, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Commissioner (RD&PR), Government of Manipur to consider the representation dated 09-07-2025 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable rules and dispose of the same by issuing an appropriate order within a stipulated period. Rajesh, learned counsel appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioners is confined to the consideration and disposal of the representation submitted by them, they have no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for for on behalf of the petitioners. [5] Taking into consideration the submission advanced by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, this Court is of the considered view that interest of justice will be met if the present writ petition is disposed of by issuing the following directions :- (i) The Commissioner(RD&PRS), Government of Manipur is hereby directed to consider the representation dated 09-07-2025 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable Rules and to dispose of the same by issuing appropriate order; (ii) It is made clear that the whole process should be completed within a period of 5(five) months from the date receipt of a certified copy of this order.
