This contempt application has been filed alleging violation of the order dated 20-03-2025, passed in WP(C). No. 290 of 2024 whereby the undisputed amount payable to the writ petitioner had been directed to be paid expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date of the order. 2. The Chief Engineer, PHE has filed an affidavit which indicates that there has been no wilful violation or disregard to the order of this Court, but the reasons of not being able to comply with the order as yet is due to the delay in the release of funds by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Jal Jeevan Mission 2026:MLHC:346 3 which operates on a 90:10 (Central/State) funding pattern, and as such, at this stage they are unable to release the amount of the writ petitioner. 3. On perusal of the affidavit, it is seen that this is not a case of wilful violation, as such, contempt is closed and disposed of.
