Present application has been filed for quashment of the First Information Report vide Crime No. 54 of 2024 dated 21.01.2024 registered with Newasa Police Station, District Ahmednagar for the offence punishable under Section 498A, 323, 504 of Indian Penal Code. 2. The learned advocate for the applicants submit that during the pendency of the application there is a compromise between the husband and wife. The terms were placed before the learned Registrar (Judicial) in view of order passed by this Court on 04.10.2024. He has verified the same. Separate affidavit has also been filed by respondent No. 2. The amount towards one time settlement has been paid by the husband to the respondent No.2. As the learned Registrar (Judicial) has verified the terms of settlement and submitted the report to this Court on 04.102024 in view of settlement, we take this to be a fit case where we should exercise our powers under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code. 4. By order dated 03.05.2024 after disinclination was shown to grant any relief to applicant No.1, the application was disposed of as withdrawn as against the applicant No.1. However, in view of the settlement, we recall the said order and consider this application for the applicant No.1 also. 5. The application stands allowed. The First Information Report vide Crime No. 54 of 2024 registered with Newasa Police Station, District Ahmednagar on 21.01.2024 for the offence punishable under Section 498A, 323, 504 of Indian Penal Code stands quashed and set aside against all the applicants.
