In pursuance of the direction passed by this Court, a report is submitted by the Superintendent of Police, Purba Medinipur. It is stated in the report that the sole appellant/convict, Harendra Nath Maity, has been expired during the pendency of this appeal on 13.6.2017. A photocopy of certificate of death, as submitted by the concerned police station, also affirms the death of the appellant/Harendra Nath Maity. 2. As the sole appellant died, the instant appeal stands abated against him. 3. Accordingly, the instant appeal being CRA 119 of 1998 is hereby dismissed as abated. (Prasenjit Biswas, J.)
