No representation for the petitioner. Mr. Narayan Dutt, Standing Counsel for the State. 2. Petitioner is serving as Assistant Teacher, LT Grade in education department of State Government. Vide order dated 26.06.2023, he was transferred from G.I.C. Kathgaria, Haldwani, District Nainital to G.I.C. Khatwe, District Almora. Feeling aggrieved by his transfer, petitioner has approached this Court. 3. Coordinate Bench of this Court passed interim order in favour of petitioner on 21.03.2024, pursuant to which petitioner is still serving at Kathgaria, Haldwani, District Nainital. 4. Learned State Counsel submits that at the time of transfer, petitioner had served at sugam place for 13 years 8 months and 29 days and now he has put in more than 15 years of service in sugam place. 5. Petitioner contends that he had applied for mutual transfer with one Ms. Hemlata Lohani and without considering the request for mutual transfer, he was transferred to Almora by impugned order. 2025:UHC:10641 6. Since petitioner has served at Kathgaria, Haldwani, Nainital on the strength of interim order for nearly two years and his total service in sugam place is now about 15 years, therefore no useful purpose would be served by keeping this petition pending. 7. Whatever grievance petitioner has, he can highlight it before Regional Additional Director, Kumaon. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to Regional Additional Director, Kumaon regarding his transfer. If he makes such representation within two weeks from today, concerned Regional Additional Director shall take decision thereupon, as per law within six weeks thereafter. 8. For a period of eight weeks or till decision is taken, whichever is earlier, status quo, as regards petitioner’s posting shall be maintained.
