Heard learned counsel for the applicant and Shri Adnan Hashmat, learned counsel appearing for the respondent. 2. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the order has not been complied in letter and spirit, as vide order dated 23.09.2024, the writ Court directed the respondent to pass appropriate orders pertaining to grant of interest to the applicant/petitioner, but the same has denied. It is, thus, submitted that the respondent may be summoned and punished accordingly. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent vehemently submits that the decision has already been taken by the respondent and the same is communicated to the applicant, which is annexed as Annexure CA 1 to the affidavit of compliance. It is also submitted that there is no provision for grant of interest on the due amount. It is, thus, submitted that no contempt is made out. 4. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the applicant, learned Standing Counsel and going through the order of the writ Court as well as contents of the affidavit of compliance along with the order dated 24.01.2025 passed by the respondent-Mr. Indrajeet Singh, Municipal Commissioner, Lucknow, it is evident that the respondent in his order dated 24.01.2025 has categorically stated that there is no provision for grant of interest on the due amount. 5. In view of above, this Court is of the view that no contempt is made out. The application, accordingly, stands dismissed.
