2025:JHHC:16444 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI A.B.A. No. 3318 of 2025 ----- Bharti Devi @ Barti Devi, W/o Dwarika Yadav, R/o Village- Mahungai, P.O. & P.S. Pratappur, District- Chatra .... Petitioner(s). Versus The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party(s). ------ CORAM : SRI ANANDA SEN, J. ------ For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Sushant Kr. Sinha, Advocate For the State : Mr. Shiv Shankar Kumar, AddI. P.P. …...... 03/ 23.06.2025: Heard, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State. 2. This is an application filed by the petitioner praying for grant of anticipatory bail in terms of under Sections 482 and 484 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Surksha Sanhita, 2023, apprehending his arrest for offences under Sections 302, 201 and 34 of IPC. 3. The learned APP opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. 4. Allegation against this petitioner who happens to be in-laws of the deceased is that they are actively involved in commission of his murder. The deceased who is the son of the informant and son-in-law of this petitioner died an unnatural death by drowning in the well in the house of in-laws. Thus, this is a case which needs proper and thorough investigation in presence of this petitioner. 5. Considering the nature of allegation, I find that this is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6. Thus, I am not inclined to entertain the anticipatory bail application. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner in connection with Pratappur P.S. Case No.48 of 2022, pending in the Court of learned Sub- Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Chatra, stands rejected. 7. Petitioner should appear before the Court below. (ANANDA SEN, J.) R.S./
