UNNI KRISHNAN NAIR ORDER Date : 18.07.2025 Heard Mr. H. Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. R. B. Borah, learned counsel, appearing on behalf of respondent No. 1. The present contempt petition has been filed, alleging violation of the directions passed by this Court, vide order, dated 21.08.2023, in WP(c)6713/2022. Although earlier when the matter was being considered; Ms. Borah, learned Page No.# 2/3 counsel, had submitted that the case of the petitioner would be considered by the jurisdictional District Level Committee which was stated to be held on 19.02.2025. However, today, Ms. Borah, learned counsel, has placed on record, the minutes of the meeting of the District Level Committee of Bodoland Territorial Council(BTC) held on 18.11.2024. The learned counsel has submitted that on account of a miscommunication, she had earlier submitted that the case of the petitioner was to be considered on 19.02.2025. A perusal of the said minutes of the meeting, would go to reveal that the claim of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground, on consideration, came to be rejected. A further perusal of the said minutes of the meeting, would also go to reveal that the directions passed by this Court, has been substantially complied with. Accordingly, this Court does not find any deliberate and/or willful violation of the orders passed by this Court in the matter by the respondents and accordingly, the present contempt petition stands closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to assail the minutes of the meeting of the District Level Committee of the Bodoland Territorial Council(BTC), dated 18.11.2024, by way of filing an appropriate application before this Court, if so advised.
