Ms. Sudha Tamta, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Rajeev Singh Bisht, learned Additional C.S.C. for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. Petitioner was engaged as outsourced employee in the year 2021. Her engagement has been discontinued by Chief Education Officer, Dehradun, by an order passed in June, 2024. The reason assigned for discontinuing petitioner’s engagement is that she was wrongly engaged by the then Chief Education Officer, in violation of the applicable Rules. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that disengagement order passed by Chief Education Officer in June, 2024 is motivated and unsustainable. 5. Learned State Counsel submits that nearly 1½ year has gone by since the order of disengagement was passed against petitioner and no relief can be granted to petitioner, as her status was that of an outsourced employee and her engagement was discontinued on account of the fact that she was engaged in violation of Government instructions. 6. Be that as it may, since petitioner is a single parent of two children, as her husband passed away during COVID-19 pandemic, therefore, the writ petition is 2025:UHC:10552 disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to Director, School Education. If she makes representation, regarding her re-engagement, within three weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within six weeks from the date of making such representation, along with certified copy of this order.
