JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR MEDHI ORDER 11.08.2025 Heard Shri M Sarma, learned counsel for the applicant, who, by means of this application, has prayed for striking off the name of the respondent no. 1 (Union of India) from the array of parties in the connected WP(C)/5421/2019. He has submitted that such application has been filed in view of the Circular dated 16.12.2013. Apart from the aspect as to whether such an application would be maintainable at the instance of the present applicant, Shri K Kashyap, learned counsel appearing for the opposite party/writ petitioner has submitted that he has objection to the aforesaid prayer and would like to file an affidavit. At this stage, Shri Sarma, learned counsel for the applicant has informed this Court that today itself, similar applications, being IA(C)/2435/2025 and IA(C)/2437/2025 have been dismissed by this Court which were filed in connection with WP(C)/7156/2018 and WP(C)/7062/2021, respectively. Considering the above, this Court is also of the view that the present application would not be maintainable and is accordingly dismissed. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
