Applicant has approached this Court through this application under Section 482 Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing of the charge sheet dated 16.10.2023 as well as summoning order dated 12.7.2024 passed by Additional District and Sessions Judge, Ambedkar Nagar in Electricity Case No. 382 of 2024, titled State Vs. Muhammad Asad, arising out of Case Crime No. 382 of 2024, arising out of Case Crime No. 329 of 2021, under Section 135 Electricity Act, Police Station Anti Power Theft, Ambedkar Nagar, District Ambedkar Nagar and the entire proceedings arising therefrom. During the course of hearing, it is fairly stated by learned counsel for the applicant that the applicant would make an attempt for compounding the offence of theft of electricity, as previously in this regard no such application was made. At this stage, Ms. Parul Kant, learned A.G.A. does not oppose the prayer and further states that in case any application for compounding the offence is moved by the applicant, the same shall be considered in accordance with law. Considering the above stand of the rival parties, the application is disposed of with liberty to the applicant to apply for compounding the alleged offence. (Manoj Bajaj,J.) October 7, 2025/P.S.
