This is an application filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking bail in respect of the accused/petitioner namely Sasonkar Pegu @ Sosankar Pegu, in connection with Bongaigaon P.S. Case No. 172/2025 under sections 75(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, read with Section 12 of the POCSO Act. 3. The petitioner is under detention since 05.07.2025. As per the prosecution, the allegation against the accused person is that the petitioner acted inappropriately with the victim girl by exposing his private parts and showing her some obscene videos on his mobile phone. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the accused has already spent 54 days behind custody and the statutory period for detention in 60 days in the present case. 5. Although there is incriminating material against the accused person in the C.D, considering the nature of the allegations as well as the period of detention, further detention is not warranted. 6. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is allowed. Page No.# 3/3 7. The accused abovenamed shall be released on bail of Rs. 20,000/- with 2 local sureties of the like amount in connection with the aforesaid case to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Bongaigaon. 8. This bail is granted on the condition that the accused person shall not try to influence the witnesses including the victim/informant or her family members or try to hamper the investigation.
