Mr. Muhammad Matloob, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. N.K. Papnai, Standing Counsel, for the State. (2) Petitioner is serving as Constable in Uttarakhand Police. He was transferred from Haridwar to Chamoli, vide order dated 10.6.2024 passed by Inspector General of Police, Garhwal Range. Pursuant to said order, petitioner was relieved from Haridwar on 14.6.2024. Feeling aggrieved by his transfer, petitioner has approached this Court. (3) Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that order of transfer, passed in respect of petitioner, is punitive and stigmatic, therefore it is interferable. (4) Perusal of the impugned order, however, does not indicate any stigma against the petitioner. Thus the apprehension expressed by the petitioner is misplaced. Petitioner holds transferable post and neither infraction of rules nor any malice has been alleged for challenging the transfer order. Thus, this Court do not find any reason to interfere with the impugned order, passed in public interest. Writ petition fails and is dismissed.
