Mr. Bharat Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Dharmendra Barthwal, learned counsel for the respondent-Bank. 3. Petitioner’s father was employed as Group ‘D’ employee in State Bank of India, Branch Raysi, District Haridwar, who died while in service on 22.07.2015. According to petitioner, he has applied for compassionate appointment, but he has not been appointed so far. 4. The relief sought in the writ petition is as follows: - (i) a suitable writ/ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to consider the appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground under Dying in Harness Rules for appointing him in respondent bank according to his educational qualification, pursuant to application moved by the mother of the petitioner for appointment of petitioner on compassionate ground on 21.08.2015 (Annexure no. 3 to the writ petition). 5. Mr. Dharmendra Barthwal, learned counsel for the respondent assures that decision on petitioner’s application shall be taken within four weeks. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Competent Authority in the Bank to take decision on petitioner’s representation, as per law, within four weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
