JUSTICE A.GUNESHWAR SHARMA 6.8.2025 This matter is taken up for motion of supplementary item due to the urgency involved in the present case. Heard Mr.I.Lalitkumar, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr.Khelemba, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.H.Devendra, learned Addl. A.G, Manipur assisted by Ms.I.Sarmila, learned Govt Counsel for the State respondents and Ms.Gangarani, learned counsel for respondent No.6, PDA. By the present writ petition the petitioners who have applied for allotment and their application for allotment of land being rejected in the year 2022, challenged the same by way of WP(C) No.406 of 2022 and the same is pending before this Court and there is no interim order of this Court. The petitioners are apprehending their eviction from the land in their possession as reflected/shown in the letter dated 18.2.2020 issued by the Director, Settlement and Land Records, Manipur. It is stated that in terms of the letter dated 31.7.2025 written by the SDO, Lilong to the D.C, Thoubal, petitioners are apprehending eviction from the land under their possession and also demolition of their structures. In this regard, petitioners have also submitted representations for stay of the eviction process during the pendency of WP(C) No.406 of 2022. Mr.H.Devendra, learned Addl. A.G, Manipur submits that at the moment the petitioners are not aggrieved by any order of the State authority and their application for allotment has already been rejected in the year 2022. This Court has perused the materials on record and at the moment there is no specific order from the State Government directing eviction of the petitioners from the land under their occupation and demolition of structures. In the circumstance, the writ petition is premature. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. Petitioner is at liberty to approach this Court as and when their right is affected.
