Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 3. This petition is filed seeking writ of mandamus against respondents for assigning light work to the petitioner on account of permanent disabilities said to have been suffered by the petitioner. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the Competent Authority has assessed the disability at 42%. The certificate is marked at Annexure-'E'. Acting on the said disability certificate, in terms of Annexure 'G', - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:6237 WP No. 3873 of 2025 dated 09.03.2024, light work is assigned to the petitioner and the said order is valid till 18.02.2025. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that there is no improvement in the health condition, as such, the petitioner has to be assigned light work. He further submits that the petitioner is ready to undergo necessary medical examination. 6. Considering the submission made, the following order is passed. ORDER (i) The Writ Petition is disposed of. (ii) Respondent authority shall specify the date on which, the petitioner shall subject himself to the examination by the competent board. Thereafter, the respondent authority shall take appropriate decision relating to the claim made by the petitioner. - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC:6237 WP No. 3873 of 2025 (iii) Till then the petitioner shall be assigned the light work as ordered in terms of order dated 09.03.2024. (iv) It is further made clear that this Court has not expressed anything on merits of the case.
