Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel, who appears for the State-opposite parties and perused the record. 2. This writ petition has been filed with the following main prayer:- "[I] Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding and direct the opposite parties to allow the petitioner and other villagers to hold Durga Pooja by installing the idol of Maa Durga and its immersion procession after Navratri Festival in the Village- Shivgarh Kala, Uttar Tola, Police Station-Malhipur, District-Shrawasti w.e.f. 22.09.2025 to 02.10.2025." 3. It is the case of the petitioner that he is the President of Sri Nav Durga Pooja Samiti, Shiv Shakti Mandir, situated at Village- Shivgarh Kala, Uttar Tola, Police Station Malhipur, District-Shrawasti and during Navratri Festival, Alas Pooja is performed and Goddess Durga's idol is installed on a suitable place near Shiv Shakti Mandir. The immersion of the idol is carried out upon the conclusion of the Navratri Festival. The petitioner has moved an application to the District Magistrate, District Shrawasti on 16.09.2025, but no orders has been passed thereon, therefore, this petition has been filed with the aforesaid prayer. 4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, without entering into the merits of the case, with a direction to the District Magistrate, Shrawasti to decide the application of the petitioner within a period of two days from Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Ajey Singh Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C.
