According to the petitioner, she was appointed on contract as Safai Karamchari by Assistant Director, Hathkargha in the year 1996; she thereafter continuously served in the said capacity to the satisfaction of all concerned and wages were also revised from time to time; however, her engagement was discontinued w.e.f. 03.07.2023. The reason for discontinuance allegedly is that respondent No. 4, who was appointed on compassionate ground at Haldwani was brought on transfer to Kashipur against the post held by the petitioner. 3. It is contended that a regular employee who is given compassionate appointment can be transferred anywhere; since there are number of vacancies available in other design centres, therefore, respondent No. 4 can be shifted elsewhere or in case it is not possible to shift respondent No. 4 to some other place, then petitioner can be given contractual appointment 2025:UHC:11542 in some nearby design centre. 4. Learned State Counsel submits that if petitioner has any grievance against her discontinuance, then she could have made representation to the competent authority. 5. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to respondent No. 2 within two weeks from today.
