Learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to correct the relief clause of the petition. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner, who is working as Jail Warder, claims promotion as Head Jail Warder for which he has made representation in this regard to the competent authority, namely respondent No.- 2 on 8th January, 2025. It is contended that other identically placed persons have already been promoted by the order dated 7th January, 2025, whereas petitioner's claim has remained unconsidered till date. Learned Standing Counsel submits that this requires consideration by the competent authority, in the first instnce and the competent authority is respondent No.- 2. In the given facts and circumstances of the case, this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to make fresh representation setting up his claim for promotion on the post in question within a period of three weeks from today before the respondent No.- 2 and in the event he makes representation as directed herein above, the same shall be considered and disposed of in accordance with law within a further period of two months.
