Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State Respondents. 2. This writ petition has been filed with the following main prayer:- "(i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the Opposite Parties to grant permission to the petitioner for celebrating pooja of Maa Durga during period 22.09.2025 to 02.10.2025 at concerned place Shri Ganga Mayi Dham Puja Samiti, Village - Dhoni Purwa, Belawa Khativ, Police Station - Gilola, District - Shrawasti." 3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner, Shri Ganga Mayi Dham Puja Samiti through its member situated at Village - Dhoni Purwa, Belawa Khativ, Police Station - Gilola, District - Shrawasti want to install the idol of Goddess Durga at the said place from 22.09.2025 to 02.10.2025 i.e. during Navaratri. The immersion of the idol will take place after Navaratri. The petitioner along with the villagers has moved an application before the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ikauna, District- Shrawasti on 11.09.2025 for grant of permission to celebrate pooja of Maa Durga during Navaratri, but no orders have been passed and the same is still pending, hence this petition. 4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, without entering into the merits of the case, with a direction to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ikauna, Shrawasti to decide the application of the petitioner within a period of two days from the date a copy of this order is produced before him.
