Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State Respondents. 2. This writ petition has been filed with the following main prayer:- "(i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the Opposite Parties to grant permission to the petitioner for celebrating pooja of Maa Durga during period 22.09.2025 to 02.10.2025 at concerned place Shri Durga Puja Mahotsava, Meera Mau, Tehsil - Ikauna, Police Station - Gilola, District - Shrawasti." 3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner, Shri Durga Puja Mahotsava Samiti situated at Village - Meera Mau, Tehsil - Ikauna, Police Station - Gilola, District - Shrawasti want to install the idol of Goddess Durga at the said place from 22.09.2025 to 02.10.2025 i.e. during Navaratri. The immersion of the idol will take place after Navaratri at Jhunjhuniya Ghat along the Rapti river. The petitioner along with the villagers has moved an application before the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ikauna, District- Shrawasti for grant of permission to celebrate pooja of Maa Durga during Navaratri, but no orders have been passed and the same is still pending, hence this petition. 4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, without entering into the merits of the case, with a direction to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ikauna, Shrawasti to decide the application of the petitioner within a period of three Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Krishna Kumar Verma, Prinsi Singh Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C.
