HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD LUCKNOW WRIT - A No. - 11363 of 2025 Court No. - 30 HON'BLE MANJIVE SHUKLA, J. 1. Heard Ms. Diksha Tiwari, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State-respondents. 2. The captioned writ petition has been filed by the petitioners, inter alia, praying therein, the following reliefs; "(i.) No.31/2017/SA-3-524/10-2017-308(8)/2016 dated 04.09.2017, in the interest of justice. (ii). It is further prayed that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a Writ, Order or Direction in the nature of Mandamus thereby directing the concerned opposite parties to pay the arrears with interest of the revised pension as per the 7th pay commission from 01.01.2016 to till date of payment of revised pension to the petitioners in compliance of the G.O. The sole grievance of the petitioners is that they, after attaining the age of superannuation, have retired prior to 01.01.2016 and as per the Government Order dated 04.09.2017, their pension is to be revised w.e.f. 01.01.2016 but the Sub Divisional Officer, Varanasi, till date, has not passed necessary orders for revision of the pension. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners have already filed a representation on 17.11.2022 before the Sub Divisional Officer, Varanasi but, till date, the said representation has not been decided and is pending. 5. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State-respondents does not have any objection, if this Court directs the concerned authority to consider and decide the petitioners' representation by passing a speaking and reasoned order. 6. Having considered the overall facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is finally disposed of with a direction to Respondent No.5 to consider and decide the petitioners' representation dated 17.11.2022, contained in Annexure No.5 to this writ petition, by passing a speaking and reasoned order within a period of three months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
