(2) Petitioner was appointed as Junior Engineer (Technical) on contract in Public Works Department in the year 2014. According to him, a seniority list of contractual Junior Engineers (Civil) was issued on 30.10.2025, however no such list is prepared in respect of Junior Engineer (Technical) serving on contract in the department. (3) Learned State Counsel, on instructions, submits that pursuant to direction issued by Division Bench of this Court in SPA No. 24 of 2025, seniority list of Junior Engineer (Civil) on contract alone is being prepared. He assures that as and when the seniority list of Junior Engineer (Technical) will be prepared, petitioner would be given due place in that seniority list. (4) Having regard to the facts of the case, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to make a representation to the competent authority. If he makes representation within two weeks from today, the competent authority shall take decision thereupon within four months thereafter. Process of regularisation of Junior Engineer (Technical) shall be undertaken after preparing such seniority list.
