Hemchandra, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. Rinika Maibam appearing for the petitioner and Mr. Boboy Potsangbam, learned CGSC appearing for the respondents. In view of the limited prayer made in this writ petition and as agreed to by both the counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is being disposed of at the motion stage itself. [2] At the outset, the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that consequent upon his termination from service by the authorities of the CRPF, the petitioner filed a statutory appeal dated 14.05.2025 to the Deputy Inspector General of Police, CRPF, Range Guwahati with a request for reconsidering this case and that the said statutory appeal is pending for considering by the Appellate Authority. The learned senior counsel further submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by KABORA MBAM SAPANA CHANU Digitally signed by KABORAMBAM SAPANA CHANU Date: 2025.08.07 16:38:36 +05'30' Page 2 directing the Deputy Inspector General of Police, CRPF, Range Guwahati to consider the said Appeal filed by the petitioner on its own merit and in terms of the applicable rules and to dispose of the same by issuing appropriate order within a stipulated period. [3] Mr. Boboy Potsangbam, learned CGSC appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is confined to consideration of the statutory Appeal filed by him, he has no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for by the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner. [4] Considering the submission advanced by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and also on perusal of the record, this Court is of the considered view that it will be in the interest of justice to issue the following directions:- (1) The Deputy Inspector General of Police, CRPF, Range Guwahati is hereby directed to consider the statutory Appeal dated 14.05.2025 filed by the petitioner on its own merit and strictly in terms of applicable rules and guidelines and to dispose of the same by issuing appropriate order. (2) It is made clear that the whole exercise should be completed within a period of 1 month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Page 3 (3) It is further directed that any order pass by the Appellate Authority be communicated to the petitioner as soon as possible.
