Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Pirtand P.S. Case No. 18 of 2024 corresponding to S.T. No. 552 of 2024 for the offences registered under Sections 103(1) and 238 of the B.N.S, 2023 pending in the Court of learned Addl. Sessions Judge-IV, Giridih.

Prayer for bail of this petitioner was earlier rejected vide B.A. No. 2423 of 2025 by order dated 26.03.2025

On 06.08.2024, dead body of an unknown person was recovered from a place near Khukhra More at Palgang Villagae. During course of investigation, the petitioner was apprehended and, on his confession, murder weapon was recovered.

The report regarding the stage of trial, earlier called for, has been received. It appears that out of 18 witnesses, ten witnesses have been examined. Learned Trial Court has stated that trial is likely to be concluded within four months.

Considering the nature of allegation and the fact that trial is likely to be concluded within four months, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is rejected.

Learned Trial Court shall expedite the trial and conclude the same, preferably within four months, from the next date fixed for recording of evidence, failing which, the petitioner, if so advise, may renew his prayer for bail.
