Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents. 2. This petition has been filed with the following main prayer:- "(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding/directing the opposite No.2 to decide the application dated 22.7.2025 made by the petitioner for granting the permission of fisheries, as contained in Annexure No.1 to this writ petition." 3. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner has made an application on 22.7.2025 for grant of fisheries patta over Gata no.1169/0.070 hectare and Gata no.1171/0.0860 hectare recorded in the revenue records as Talab on the ground that the area of such pond is so small that no fishery patta can be granted. 4. Learned Standing Counsel has pointed out that as per Rules, any pond having area less than 0.500 acre is to be reserved for public use. 5. Be that as it may, without entering into the merits of the petitioner's claim, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tanda, District Ambedkar Nagar, to decide the Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Rakesh Kumar Pandey Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C. Sundar Lal .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Deptt. Of Revenue Lko.
