JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA Order 07.08.2025 [1] Heard Mr. Ajoy Pebam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A. for the State respondent. [2] By the present writ petition, the petitioners are approaching this Court for giving a direction to the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West. [3] The petitioners filed a Revenue Misc. Case in the year 2022 before the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West praying for record correction of the entries in Dag No. 2108, 2125 & 2109 of Village No. 89-Khwai Lalambung. The petitioners also filed a demarcation case before the Sub-Deputy Collector, Imphal West (Central) dated 07.1a.2022 and the same was disposed of on 28.04.2023 with an observation that demarcation will be taken up after IMC election. Since the election of IMC was never held after this order, the demarcation could not be taken up. [4] The petitioner submitted another representation dated 30.04.2025 to the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West to complete the proceedings of the pending record correction filed in the year 2022. All these matters are pending before the competent authority. [5] Mr. Ajoy Pebam, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that writ petition may be disposed of by directing the respondents, especially the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West and Sub-Deputy Collector, Imphal West (Central) to complete the pending application for record correction and demarcation within a stipulated time. [6] Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A., submits that he may be given some time to take instruction. [7] This Court has considered the materials on record and with the limited prayer of the petitioners of directing the respondents to complete the pending applications before the competent authority, it will be appropriate to direct the respondents to complete the pending proceedings within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
