Papnoi, Standing Counsel for the State. 2. Petitioner is resident of Roorkee, District Haridwar. According to him, there is a liquor shop situate within 100 meters of the main gate of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. He submits that as per norms, there cannot be any retail liquor shop within 100 meters of an educational institution. 3. Learned State Counsel has produced in Court written instructions, received from the office of District Excise Officer, Haridar, which are taken on record. 4. As per those instructions, the retail liquor shop, run by respondent No. 4 is more than 130 meters away from the main gate of IIT, Roorkee. 5. Learned State Counsel thus submits that the allegation of violation of norms, as made by petitioner is, therefore, incorrect. 6. We dispose of this petition in view of the statement made by learned State Counsel; however, petitioner shall be at liberty to raise objection against the report submitted by District Excise Officer, by 2025:UHC:11484-DB making a representation, if he feels that the report is not correct. 7.
