CORAM :
SRI ANANDA SEN, J.
------ For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. R.S. Mazumdar, Sr. Advocate
Ms. J. Mazumdar, Advocate For the State : Mr. Prabir Kr. Chatterjee, Spl. P.P.
…...... 02/ 23.06.2025: Heard, learned counsel for the parties.
2. This is an application filed by the petitioner praying for grant of anticipatory bail under Sections 482 and 484 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 apprehending his arrest for the offences under Sections 420, 409, 468 and 471 of IPC, in connection with PCR Case No.230 of 2014, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamtara.
3. Learned A.P.P. representing the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.
4. From the documents on record, it is clear that though the F.I.R. was filed initially yet, the police after investigation had submitted final report exonerating this petitioner. Thereafter, protest petition was filed, which was converted into a complaint and thereafter cognizance was taken and the petitioner has been summoned.
5. Considering the fact that the petitioner has approached this Court after cognizance, there is no scope of any investigation. Thus, I direct the petitioner to appear before the Court concerned and file necessary bonds with an undertaking that he will cooperate with the trial and will not unnecessarily cause delay.
6. Accordingly, the instant anticipatory bail application stands disposed of.
