ORAL ORDER: Heard Sri K.Ramesh Babu, Learned Counsel for the Writ Petitioners and Sri M.Hari Babu, Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondent Nos.2 and 4. Sri M.Hari Babu, Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondent Nos.2 and 4 has submitted the Written Instruction furnished by the Project Director, DRDA, Chittoor along with the proceedings issued by the Project Director to the Chief Executive Officer dated 07.05.2025 and some other documents.
The report of the Mandal Parishad Development Officer dated 07.05.2025 (which is referred in the Written Instruction) would indicate that on field enquiry it is revealed that the Writ Petitioners are entitled for old age pension and that the action would be initiated as soon as the proposals received. Copy of it is served on the Counsel for the Writ Petitioners as well. This Written Instruction is taken on record. 2. are
3 Having regard to the Written Instruction as well as the proceedings of the Mandal Parishad Development Officer dated 07.05.2025, this Court deems it appropriate to allow the present Writ Petition, at the admission stage, without going into the merit, by directing the Respondent Nos.2 and 4 to process the case of the Writ Petitioners herein as expeditiously as possible within a period of two (02) weeks from today, and to ensure that the Writ Petitioners are paid old age pension from June, 2025 onwards. Sri M.Hari Babu, Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondent Nos.2 and 4 is directed to convey the gist of this Order to the Respondent Nos.2 and 4 forthwith for effective compliance.
