Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned state counsel for opposite parties. 2. Petition has been filed seeking following prayers:- " (i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing to the opposite parties to take into consideration the service period spent by the petitioners, while undergoing training before they were posted as Constables for calculating 19 years of service for granting one additional increment as provided in the Government order dated 02-12-2000 and also in light of the Government Orders dated 04.05.2010, 21.07.2011 and 05.11.2014. (ii) ..... (iii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing to the respondent to calculate the service period of the petitioners from the date of appointment and grant one additional increment. ......" 3. Since petitioners' grievances would require consideration of factual aspects, liberty is granted to petitioners to make fresh individual representation before opposite party No. 2 i.e. Deputy Inspector General of Police (Establishment), Police Headquarter, Lucknow. In case such a representation is filed, the same is required to be decided within a period of eight weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before the said authority. 4.
