HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD LUCKNOW MATTERS UNDER ARTICLE 227 No. - 5591 of 2025 Court No. - 30 HON'BLE MANJIVE SHUKLA, J. 1. Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned State Counsel appearing for Respondent No.1. 2. In view of the order proposed, notice to Respondents No.2 to 7 is hereby dispensed with. 3. The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner, inter alia praying therein for the following relief: "(i) to direct the proceedings of "Case No. REV/2807/2007- 2008/Maharajganj, Computerized Case No.-R200809630033757, Haridwar Vs. Mulhu, in Revision under Section 219 of U.P. Land Revenue Code 1901", pending before the opposite party no. 1, i.e. Hon'ble Court of Board of Revenue, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, expeditiously, in a time bound manner, in the interest of justice. (ii) to pass any other suitable order or direction which is deemed just and proper in the circumstances of the case, may also be passed. (iii) to allow the application with costs." 4. It has been contended on behalf of the petitioner that he has filed a revision under Section 219 of the U.P. Land Revenue Act, 1901 but the said revision is pending since the year 2008 and has not been decided till date. Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Rudra Pratap Singh, Devendra Kumar, Mohd. Shahid Chaudhary Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C. Ramlal .....Petitioner(s) Board Of Revenue, Lko. U.P. Thru. Chairman And Others .....Respondent(s) 5. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has argued that due to pendency of the revision, the petitioner is suffering with lots of difficulties on the spot, therefore, it is in the interest of justice that this Court may issue a direction to Respondent No.1 to consider and decide the revision in question, expeditiously, within the time frame fixed by this Court. 6. Learned Standing Counsel, on the other hand, has very fairly submitted that the ends of justice would be served, if a direction is issued by this Court thereby commanding Respondent No.1 to consider and decide the case in question, expeditiously, within the time frame fixed by this Court. 7. I have considered the arguments advanced by the learned counsels for the parties and I find that the aforesaid revision is pending before Respondent No.1. 8. Accordingly, this petition is finally disposed of with a direction to Respondent No.1, to hear and decide the Case No. REV/2807/2007- 2008/Maharajganj, Computerized Case No.-R200809630033757, Haridwar Vs. Mulhu, under Section 219 of U.P. Land Revenue Code 1901, expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order before him, provided there is no legal impediment. 9. Needless to say that this Court has not adjudicated upon merits of the case. September 17, 2025 V. Sinha A227 No. 5591 of 2025 2 (Manjive Shukla,J.)
