Petitioner possesses D.El.Ed. with UTET qualification, which makes him eligible for appointment as Assistant Teacher, Government Primary Schools. District Education Officers, in different Districts, have issued advertised in the month of November, 2025 inviting applications for appointment as Assistant Teacher, Government Primary Schools. As per the advertisement, one should be below 42 years of age, as on 01.07.2025, while petitioner has completed 47 years, 2 months & 27 days on the said date. 4. Since petitioner has crossed the upper age limit, therefore, he has approached this Court seeking a direction to grant relaxation to him in the selection in question. 5. The relief, as prayer for, cannot be granted by this Court. 6. Learned State Counsel is right in submitting that under the Rules, State Government can relax the condition, regarding age limit. 7. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has made 2025:UHC:10678 representation also; however, she prays that, petitioner be permitted to make fresh representation to the Competent Authority. 8. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make fresh representation to the State Government. If he makes representation within one week from today, State Government shall take decision thereupon, as per law, within four weeks thereafter.
