Learned counsel for the appellant after arguing for a while seeks leave of this Court to withdraw this writ petition with a liberty to approach the Dewan Badri Nath Vidya Mandir, Mubarakh Mandi School, Jammu with a formal request to change the name of the appellant in school records, provided, a time bound direction is issued to the school to do the needful. Her statement is taken on record. 2. The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn, as a consequence whereof, this appeal is rendered infructuous and the same is accordingly disposed of. 3. We leave it to the appellant to approach the school authorities with a formal request for effecting change in the name of appellant-minor in the school records. Should the appellant approach the school authorities for effecting change in his name in his school records by way of a formal application supported by the relevant documentary evidence within a period of two weeks, the school authorities shall consider the S.No.2 2 LPA No. 19/2025 In WP (C) No. 2259/2022 same and effect the change in the name of the appellant after completing all requisite formalities within a period of two months thereafter.
