This Court, vide order dated 03.10.2024 passed in MCRC No. 6337/2024, while rejecting the bail to the applicant, namely, Saddam Ansari had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act) Uttar Bastar Kanker District- Uttar Bastar Kanker (C.G.) vide its request letter dated 26.03.2025 has requested for grant of five months time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in this case, as per the trial program, there are total 19 prosecution witnesses, out of which the examination of 14 witnesses have been completed and lots of efforts have been made to examine the remaining witnesses, but despite this, the case could not be concluded within the prescribed time. Therefore, he prays for grant of further five months time for concluding the same. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a period of five months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
