This application has been filed for quashing the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.1112 of 2024, “State vs. Santosh Singh”, pending before the court of Judicial Magistrate, Ramnagar, District Nainital under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, Section 3 and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2 . Mr. Shariq Khurshid, learned counsel for the applicant. 3 . Mr. Deepak Bhardwaj, learned Brief Holder for the respondent No.1. 4 . Mr. Prince Chauhan, learned counsel for the respondent no.2-informant. 5 . The applicant is the husband of the respondent no.2-informant. Applicant is present in-person. He is 1 2025:UHC:11412 identified by Mr. Shariq Khurshid, Advocate. The respondent no.2 is present in-person. She is identified by Mr. Prince Chauhan, Advocate. 6 . Both, the applicant and the respondent no.2 submitted that there were matrimonial disputes between them. They have resolved their disputes. After resolving their disputes, they have field a Compounding Application (IA No.1 of 2025) and affidavits with their free will and without any pressure. The respondent no.2 has requested to quash the entire proceedings of the said Criminal Case No.1112 of 2024. 7 . Mr. Deepak Bhardwaj, Brief Holder has not opposed the said request. 8 .
