HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD LUCKNOW CRIMINAL MISC. BAIL APPLICATION No. - 8659 of 2025 Court No. - 12 HON'BLE KARUNESH SINGH PAWAR, J.
1. Heard learned counsel for the applicant, learned AGA for the State and perused the record. 2. In the prosecution case, it is alleged that the informant’s daughter was married to Narendra three years ago. Though sufficient dowry was given at the time of marriage, the in-laws of the deceased were dissatisfied and, consequently, committed her murder on account of dowry. Information regarding her death was conveyed by the villagers at about 1:00 a.m.
3. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant is the mother- in-law of the deceased. The allegations levelled in the prosecution case are general and sweeping in nature, implicating five family members without distinction. The cause of death has been reported as asphyxia resulting from antemortem hanging, with no other antemortem injury found on the body of the deceased. The complainant, in his statement, has also made only general and sweeping allegations, without attributing any specific role to the present applicant. 4. It is further submitted that there is no possibility of the applicant of fleeing away after being released from jail or tampering with the witnesses. In case the applicant is enlarged on bail, he shall not misuse the liberty of bail. 5. Accordingly, the bail application is allowed. 8.
