Inspector Sri Sudhakar Pandey and lady Constable Ms. Lalita of Police Station Chamanganj, District Kanpur Nagar, have produced the alleged detenue Smt. Shariya Afreen before this Court along with opposite party no. 5. Smt. Shariya Afreen has made a statement before this Court that her date of birth is 01.01.2007, she is an adult and she has married Mohd. Shahab out of her own free will and that she wants to live with her husband Mohd. Shahab but her family members have forcibly restrained her from joining the company of her husband. 2. In view of the aforesaid categorical statement made by Smt. Shariya Afreen, it appears that she was under illegal detention of her family member-opposite party no. 5. 3. Accordingly, she is set at liberty to join the company of her husband Sri Mohd. Shahab. 4. The writ petition is allowed in terms of the aforesaid order. The police officers/officials have discharged their duties in the case well.
